Internship in Colloidal and Formulation Science (Lab-Based R&D Support)
You'll get hands-on lab experience supporting our formulation R&D: preparing colloidal systems, running experiments, and characterizing samples. This is perfect for someone eager to apply academic knowledge in a startup setting with direct influence on our tech and products.
This is a lab-based, research-focused 3-6 months internship in an early-stage company located in Malmö, Sweden where your work will directly influence technology development and future products.
⚠️ This internship is unpaid with a real possibility to become part of the company after the
internship, depending on performance, mutual interest, and company progress.
Key Responsabilities
- Prepare and test emulsions, dispersions, and encapsulation formulations
- Perform basic characterization
- Assist with data recording, basic analysis, and lab organization
- Participate in experimental planning and literature searches
- Collaborate closely with founders in a dynamic, small-team environment
Who we are looking for
Essential:
- Current or recent BSc/MSc student (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Colloid Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- Some practical lab skills from university courses, projects, thesis work, or previous lab exposure (e.g., basic wet chemistry, pipetting, sample preparation, following protocols, using common equipment like balances, pH meters, stirrers, or centrifuges)
- Strong interest in colloids, emulsions, encapsulation, or food/nutraceutical applications
- Proactive, curious, independent, and excited about applied science in a startup
- Comfortable working in a small team with flexible hours
Nice to Have:
- Any experience with analytical tools (e.g., DLS, chromatography, rheology, emulsions)
- Knowledge of food safety or sustainability topics
